Pulverised fuel fired boilers with steam drum
The most popular pulverised fuel fired boilers, i.e. steam drum boilers, have dominated not only the Polish power generation sector. RAFAKO S.A. delivered the majority of pulverised coal fired boilers installed in Poland and exported a large number of such units to India and China. Major power plants generating energy on the basis of such boilers include: Rybnik, Łaziska, Jaworzno III, Dolna Odra, Siersza, Łagisza, Kozienice. The latter on operates two largest steam drum boilers in Poland, i.e. AP-1650 type assisted circulation boilers combined with famous 500 MW units. The majority of pulverised fuel fired, steam drum boilers is operated in both utility and industrial heat and power plants. Large pulverised fuel fired boilers are manufactured by RAFAKO on the basis of a licence acquired from EVT (currently Alstom Power).
